Being a privately owned company, from the Board of directors across the entire company, it is recognised that our team makes the biggest difference. We passionately believe in consistency of service and whilst we appreciate that the individuality of the building is often the reason that guests visit, it is our team that ensures they return. If you feel you could enhance that philosophy, please read on. Here at The Elvetham we really value our staff as we realise that they make all the difference when it comes to providing excellent customer service.

More than 20% of our staff have been with us for over 5 years and 14% for more than 10 years! This, together with the fact that our staff numbers have doubled from 65 to 130 since August 2001, makes for a staff retention achievement to be proud of.

One example is our Head Gardener, Graham, who has worked here for the past 27 years. He, together with his team of four, looks after all 35 acres, including the fruit and herb plantings, the produce of which is used in The Elvetham’s kitchen.

However, as a progressive company, we are always looking for bright, enthusiastic people who have a passion for the hotel, conference and events business to join our team and help us grow into the future.
