  • Special Event Sales Executive

    Job type: Part time (Monday-Thursday 5pm - 8pm, and weekends as required)

    Job Purpose 

    You will be part of the events team, converting inbound wedding enquiries. Demonstrating excellent negotiation skills, you will support the wedding team to achieve budgeted sales and departmental KPI’s.  

    This role supports the management of the wedding diary and the profitability of the department and meet all revenue budget requirements.

    A strong commercial awareness of market trends including pricing, competitor activity and economic conditions is essential.


    The Elvetham has been providing high-quality, personalised weddings since 2001 and is now looking forward to significant growth throughout 2017 and beyond.

    This role is responsible for converting enquiries for weddings within the enquiry pipeline to maximise sales and develop all potential revenue opportunities, by securing a full appointment of show rounds for prospective couples, and following up following their visit in a friendly and professional manner. 

    Working closely with the wedding team, you will support the delivery of the hotel budget. Additionally, you will maintain and grow strong partnerships with our prospective couples and work with the marketing team to further improve the quality of inbound enquiries. 


    Principle Accountabilities

     We are looking for someone who can maintain a positive and calm outlook, can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, carry out instructions, be able to pay close attention to detail and a desire to provide exceptional customer service. Experience within a customer facing role and a good knowledge and skill set for the position is essential.

    1. Take incoming calls: wedding enquiries and queries. 
    2. Email enquiries answered within required company standard with a strong level of English written skills required.
    3. Check diary for availability, understanding how revenue drives priority of event space.
    4. Strong product knowledge of our packages, venue information and wedding room details in order to be able to make informed suggestions and upsell wherever appropriate.
    5. Create and send personalised quotes.
    6. Chasing all event enquiries to meet departmental conversion targets.
    7. Ensure return of event contracts in a timely manner.

    Knowledge, skills and experience

    • Experience of working in a fast-paced events office for more than two years.
    • Target driven and revenue focused

  • Commis Chef

    Job type: Full time

    Commis Chef required to join our friendly professional Kitchen team of 9 chefs.

    Straight shifts 5 days from 7. (Usually 2pm - 10pm)

    40 hours per week.

    Our business is mainly corporate during the week, with 3 weddings most weekends.

    We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a passion for cooking with fresh ingredients and someone who takes pride in what they produce.

    Knowledge and experience of banqueting would be an advantage.

    Salary in line with experience

    Short term live-in may be available with this role.

  • Wedding coordinator – Maternity cover

    Job type: Full time


    This is an exciting and challenging role for someone from a sales background who has a passion for the hospitality industry and is keen to work as part of our wedding team.

    The role involves a five day working week with alternate Saturdays in order to meet clients. 

    The successful applicant will be a strong and effective organiser, delivering for clients a memorable experience that exceeds expectations. You will deal with all aspects of each wedding from initial show round, planning coordinating, administration, right up to the point of service delivery by the our Food and Beverage Team on the day.

    You will be a capable, yet subtle sales person with some experience and a proven track record, you will have great attention to detail, determination and a natural friendly, welcoming personality together with a willingness to please. 

    An excellent communicator, have exceptional attention to details and the passion to go the extra mile for our customers. 

    You will need to ensure the efficient and smooth running administration and to deal with guest enquiries and bookings in a professional manner, ensuring accurate booking information is prepared for the operations team. 

    You must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the hotel and hospitality industry and high level skills in diary management, telephone skills, communication and customer service. We will also be seeking evidence of success in a similar sales oriented role.  

    Excellent IT skills and attention to detail are paramount. 

    The role requires that you:

    • Ensure all enquiries and show rounds are handled professionally
    • Positively approach all sales opportunities in order to maximise hotel revenue
    • Ensure correct charges are in place on all contracts
    • Deposits and payments are collected on time
    • Demonstrate ownership of problems and decision making
    • Have a good personal standard, projecting a smart, professional image at all time

  • Night Manager

    Job type: Full time

    Night Manager 

    Hours 7pm – 7am, 4 days on 4 days off on rolling rota.

    Working with the night Porter to provide guest service and security throughout the night shift.

    You will be based at reception using the Reslynx PMS system and your duties will include, checking guests in, making reservations, processing payments and the night audit. You will also need to supervise the night porter to ensure all duties are carried out in a thorough and timely manner.

    Applicants need to have excellent spoken and written English and have exceptional customer service skills.

    Must be smart and well presented.

    Previous Hotel reception or Night manager experience preferred.

    Applicants must be over 18 to work nights.
