A truly unique wedding venue in Hampshire
The Elvetham is a stunning, privately owned estate nestled in 35 acres of rolling Hampshire countryside. The site is full of history: a 19th century listed mansion house positioned in front of immaculate formal gardens that has played host to Queen Elizabeth I and Shakespeare.
The extensive grounds, maintained perfectly by our dedicated team, make for breathtaking wedding photography. Heavy pink blossoms, purple hyacinth, and rows of Irish yew trees create beautiful backdrops on your perfect day.
We are proud to be an independent exclusive use wedding venue, which allows us flexibility in creating perfect bespoke weddings for our couples. In this tranquil spot you would never guess that you’re just 15 minutes from both the M3 and M4, and 40 minutes out of central London!
The Elvetham has lots of beautiful spaces in which to host your ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception.
From the historic Oak Room to The Conservatory filled with daylight, we have the perfect space to suit various numbers of guests and personal tastes.
We have a licensed outdoor space where you can hold your ceremony, with beautiful views of the countryside. A path leads from the house, making a perfect aisle for the bride and groom.
During the spring and summer months, evening barbecues are popular and we can make sure that your reception space connects to the patio for best access for your guests.
Our Wedding Spaces
- The Oak Room
With rich oak panelling and large windows overlooking the grounds, The Oak Room is popular for ceremonies. Light pours in the tall windows and the bride makes a grand entrance at the back of the room, joining her partner at the top of the aisle in front of a grand fireplace.
There is ample space for musicians at the front or back of the room, and also a built-in sound system should you want to play your entrance or exit music.

- The Morning Room
Ceremonies in The Morning Room take place in front of the bay window overlooking the beautiful formal gardens.
The Morning Room is also a great space for evening reception parties, with a connecting door to the Drawing Room Bar meaning your guests all stay in the same area. Another door leads directly onto the terrace, where evening food can be prepared on a barbeque should you so wish.

- The Library
The largest of our rooms, The Library features an ornate stone fireplace, original bookcases, and a real sense of grandeur.
The Library is very popular for wedding breakfasts, with the wedding party seated at a long top table in front of the striking fireplace.

- The Conservatory
The Conservatory is ideal for your wedding breakfast, with stunning views of the gardens, an abundance of natural light, and the option to cover the ceiling with fairy lights. The adjoining Dining Room is great for designated children's tables or entertainment.

- The Dining Room
Connected to The Conservatory, The Dining Room is great if you want to have designated tables for children where they can enjoy dinner and play games while still in sight of the adults.
Wedding breakfast capacity – 30 guests
- The Seymour Room
This suite is upstairs in our Main House, and is the perfect getting ready space for the bridal party. Lots of natural daylight make it the perfect space for hair and makeup, and we provide mirrors and hanging rails for your convenience.
Breakfast can be ordered straight to The Seymour Room, so you can enjoy it at your own pace while preparing for the day ahead.
The Seymour Room is complimentary in all of our wedding packages, and is subject to availability.
