Wedding dress trends with Boo bridal
Located in the village of Hartley Wintney, just minutes from us at The Elvetham, Boo Bridal is an elegant bridal boutique with an impressive range of bridal collections from award-winning designers. We spoke with Anna, owner of Boo, about her experience working within the wedding industry and what to look out for in 2018.
Having worked in the wedding industry for 6 years, what do you love most about what you do?
I love meeting new brides and creating a unique dress/look for each bride based on their wedding style and personality. Adding the personal touches is the most fun!

With winter weddings just around the corner, are there any big trends our brides should be looking out for?
Timeless shapes and clean lines are still very popular for winter wedding dresses. Brides love adding a sparkly waist band during the winter months, which always looks beautiful sparkling under fairy lights or candle light! Golds and other metallic colours are also seeming popular for our winter weddings, particularly rose gold.
Looking further ahead, what are the trends you are expecting to see in 2018?
In bridal we are expecting to see fabrics such as crepe continuing to be popular. Low backs are also going to remain on trend in 2018 and I think we may see a neckline shift away from high sheer lace, towards Bardot style showing a lovely elegant line.

Are there any standout memories from your Elvetham weddings?
We always love seeing pictures of our Elvetham brides, particularly in winter with the dramatic Christmas tree and lots of sparkling candle light. Whatever the time of year Moutan, Flowers by Becky and White Lilac always create the most beautiful floral displays and the results are stunning.

Having been a part of so many weddings over the years, what’s the best piece of advice you have for our couples currently planning their wedding?
Personal touches are so important but remember that your wedding planning team (venue, planner, florist, dress consultant, photographer etc.) always want to create the best day possible for you, so remember to trust them, they know what they’re doing and they work hard to help your vision come to life.
